Originally started to promote and elevate Charleston’s culinary brand, the Charleston Wine and Food Festival brings out the best of the best to truly showcase the Charleston culinary scene. The Charleston Festival

Where: Throughout Historic Charleston

Since its inception in 1947, the Historic Charleston Foundation has honored the city’s houses, history, and culture through its annual spring festival. Over the past 78 years, this flagship fundraising and educational event has grown into a comprehensive celebration of Charleston’s rich heritage, architecture, culture, and community. Now known as The Charleston Festival, this month-long event will return in 2025 with its beloved House & Garden Tours and captivating lectures, alongside an exciting lineup of new programs and venues to discover.

Where: BEGINS AT ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, ENDS AT THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the heart of historic Charleston with the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade! The parade starts shortly after at 10 AM at Radcliffe Street and Saint Philip Street and makes its way down both King Street and Broad Street and finishes at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Parade watchers will see Charleston’s Irish step dancers, fire trucks, marching bands, and much more! There is no admission to this event.

89th Annual House and Garden Tours

When: March 27-29, 2025

Where: Various Locations in Downtown Charleston

If you want to enjoy some of Charleston’s most beautiful and historic private homes, the Annual House and Garden Tour is the perfect experience. These one-of-a-kind tours will bring you face-to-face with some of the country’s most breathtaking gardens and architecture. Tea and refreshments will be available during and after the tour at the Confederate Home Garden.

2nd-Sunday-on-King

Second Sunday on King Street

When: Sunday, March 10, 2025 | 12-5 pm

Where: King Street from Queen to Calhoun Street

Every second Sunday of the month from noon until 5 pm, the City of Charleston shuts down King Street from Queen to Calhoun to through traffic. In addition, no cars are allowed to park, giving pedestrians the ability to stroll through the street and visit businesses they might not have known about. There are also artists displaying their work on the street and unique food vendors tempting guests with their fare.

Now in its fourth year, The Charleston Show highlights an exceptional collection of antiques, contemporary design, fine art, and jewelry.

The festivities begin with a Preview Party on Thursday, March 20th, benefiting the Drayton Hall Preservation Trust. This exclusive opening event offers guests the chance to support the preservation of the historic estate while enjoying an early look at the show’s impressive offerings.

Running from Friday, March 21st, through Sunday, March 23rd, The Charleston Show features 30 exhibitors from the United States, England, and Europe. Attendees can explore a curated selection of period to mid-century furniture, traditional and contemporary art, ceramics, jewelry, folk art, oriental rugs, silver, prints, maps, garden antiques, and architectural treasures.
